Information sessions will be held next week for the Spring Break trip to Guatemala. The focus of the program is sustainable development, and the empowerment of young women through environmental education and agroecology. We will be hosted by Community Cloud Forest Conservation, staying at an agroecology center, surrounded by the cloud forest of the Sierra Yalijux.
The course (GEOG 361) yields 3 credits in the GEOG, INAF, and WGST majors, and Environmental Sustainability minor, is an Honors course, counts as Diverse and Global Perspectives, and the Experiential Learning/Beyond the Classroom requirement. Students in any major may participate.
