Join Dr. Mary Kayler to earn 3 credits and get up-close and personal with Viking history and current gaming technology on this eighteen day Scandinavian experience.
Fly into Copenhagen and cross the border to Malmö, Sweden.
Attend Nordic Game 2017, the most relevant games industry conference in Europe, and network with game designers at the forefront of the industry.
Walk Stieg Larrson’s  Millennium Tour – based on the trilogy of books: The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest.
Travel to Gotland Island and follow in the footsteps of Sweden’s ancient explorers. Explore historical sites where the Vikings left their mark, walk pilgrim paths, and hike and cycle around Gotland to experience the atmosphere and astonishing scenery in and round Visby, an outstanding example of a north European medieval walled trading town and world heritage site.
Travel north to Faro by ferry and tour the Bergman Museum. Learn about the cinematic legacy of Swedish filmmaker, Ingmar Bergman, who is famous for dying on Gotland after having worked there for years.
Tour the Gotland Museum and Swedish historical sites to find inspiration for your game design.
Explore Sweden’s contribution to Nordic Noir, a genre of Scandinavian crime fiction and television drama that typically features dark storylines and bleak urban settings.
Attend Gotland GAME (Gotland Art and Media Education) Conference.
