UMW Faculty-Led Program Registration for Non-Degree Seeking Students
Non-UMW students should follow these steps to register for a UMW Faculty-Led Study Abroad Program:
STEP 1
Complete the Biographic and Demographic Form , the Virginia In-State Tuition Form for Non-Degree Students, and the Assumption of Risk and Release from Liability Agreement forms. Return scanned documents along with a note indicating the program you for which you are registering to cie@umw.edu, or mail physical copies to:
Center for International Education
Attn: Faculty-Led Programs
University of Mary Washington
1301 College Avenue, Lee Hall 435
Fredericksburg, VA 22401
STEP 2
The Center for International Education (CIE) will submit your paperwork to the Registrar, who will issue you a UMW ID. CIE will send your ID number to you via email.
STEP 3
Use your new UMW ID number to set up your UMW net ID and UMW email. CIE suggests that you immediately set up automatic forwarding from your UMW email to your primary email address so you do not miss any important information regarding your program.
STEP 4
Use your new UMW net ID to register for your program via the link on your program’s webpage. Be sure to complete your emergency contact information during the registration process. You will receive a confirmation email at your UMW email address once your registration has been submitted.
STEP 5 (if applicable)
For programs that include courses for UMW credit, submit the Non-Degree Registration Request with a check payable to UMW for payment in full for your course. Use the undergraduate part-time per credit hour rate to calculate your course cost, and add the $30 registration fee. Mail registration form and payment to:
