Digital Storytelling
Are you ready to bring your storytelling skills to life in one of the most mesmerizing destinations on the planet? Join Dr. Jennifer Polack and Dr. Lance Gentry on the CPSC 106 Digital Storytelling course spring break trip to Santiago, Chile, and Easter Island. This immersive experience is not just a trip – it’s a chance to unleash your creativity, capture stunning visuals, and craft compelling narratives in two of South America’s most captivating locations. In Santiago, you’ll dive into the vibrant city scene, sample delicious local cuisine, and immerse yourself in Chile’s rich history and culture. Explore bustling markets, historic landmarks, and scenic neighborhoods while honing your storytelling techniques through photography, videography, and local interviews.
But the adventure doesn’t stop there. We’ll journey to the remote and mystical Easter Island, where you’ll come face to face with the remarkable Moai statues that have captivated travelers for centuries.
As you document these ancient marvels and witness the island’s breathtaking landscapes, you’ll have the opportunity to create a visual narrative that will transport your audience to this remote paradise. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to blend education, cultural immersion, and storytelling in one extraordinary journey.
