International Career Day
Jan 22 @ 1:45 pm – 8:00 pm

The goal of International Student Career Day (ISCD) hosted by James Madison University (JMU) is to provide relevant career development information and guidance to international students who are seeking jobs and/or internships in the United States after graduation. ISCD will answer questions such as:

How can I find a job in the U.S. after I graduate?
How should I  begin looking?  What do I need to know?
Whom can I talk with to help me with this process?
How will my immigration status affect my opportunities?

The one day ISCD program brings in experts from Career and Academic Planning, immigration law firms, and International Student and Scholar Services to cover topics such as resume writing, the job search process, Optional Practical Training (OPT), and work visas. A panel of international student alumni from JMU who now work in the US will also give you their personal perspectives and offer advice. The program ends with a Networking Dinner sponsored by the local Rotary Club. The Career and Academic Planning office will also provide on site resume reviews and interview practice.
