There are a variety of Internationally-focused activities and programs on campus throughout the year. The Center for International Education sponsors the InterLink Cultural Mentor Program, providing an American cross-cultural guide for all incoming international students and events throughout the year.

CIE hosts International Education Week each fall, featuring campus-wide events like the annual Global Café and Education Abroad Fair.

Student Activities and Engagement (SAE) oversees a number of clubs focused on cultural interests, including the Asian Student Association, Black Student Association, Campus Christian Community, Islamic Student Association, Jewish Student Association, and Latino Student Association, to name a few. The Foreign Film Series, sponsored annually by the Department of Modern Foreign Languages, is free and open to the public.

UMW’s James Farmer Multicultural Center organizes the annual Multicultural Fair in early April and provides a variety of cultural activities throughout the year, including the Cultural Awareness Series, Diversity Programming, and a Meditation Space that is available to students wishing to pray, meditate, or find solitude on campus.
