Holocaust Memory | Czech & German Culture
|Spend your spring break in Prague, Czech Republic and Dresden, Germany, guided by Dr. Marcel Rotter and Dr. Jennifer Hansen-Glucklich with the Modern Languages and Literatures Department. Visit historic sites in Prague and Dresden and surrounding areas as you study the history of 20th-century antisemitism under the German Third Reich. Students will stay in a local hostel.
Students will earn 1 course credit for IDIS 350C Holocaust Memory or IDIS 350DD Czech and German Culture. Students may elect to take both courses (for a combined total of 2 credits) by paying a supplemental program fee. As part of their coursework, students will:

Requirements & Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for either course. Students must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA in order to participate. This program is open to all UMW students regardless of major or year of study. It is also open to non-UMW students.
Faculty-Led Program Scholarships are available to UMW students (deadlines apply).
