UMW EUSA Dublin Internships
Spend your summer honing your professional skills on this 8-week program in Dublin, Ireland including one week of orientation and a seven-week internship. From the arts to politics, business to communications, healthcare, education, media, law or NGO’s, the EUSA Dublin placement team will provide a broad spectrum of intellectually stimulating internships based on your preferred industry sector and personal goals.

Online payees have the choice of either credit card or eCheck (ACH) payment. ACH transactions will be charged a flat fee of $0.50 per transaction. All credit card payments will incur a 2.95% service fee. For credit card payments, a minimum convenience fee of $3.00 will be applied to transactions over $20.00 and under $102.00.
Students can avoid fees by paying in-person at the UMW Cashier’s office by cash or check (made out to “UMW”). The Cashier’s office is located on the 2nd floor of Lee Hall.
Students will earn up to 6 transfer credits for the 7-week internship. A few weeks before the program, students will have an internship consultation meeting with the placement team virtually and will be assigned a provisional placement based on skills, professional goals and interests. Most students will learn of their provisional placement prior to departure for Dublin, others will learn upon arrival. Once in Dublin, students will have an on-site interview with the placement supervisor and internships will be finalized. Each internship experience will be monitored through a mid-point review and feedback.
This course satisfies the Beyond the Classroom General Education Requirement.
Students will live in an apartment complex especially designed for student use. The fully furnished apartments consist of shared kitchen, living area, and bathroom, internet connections and on-site laundry facilities. Student residences are well served by public transportation.
There is no pre-requisite for this program. This program is open to students from all majors. Students must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA in order to participate. As per UMW credit transfer policies, a grade of C or above is required for courses taught abroad to transfer back to UMW.

This program includes moderate amounts of walking and use of public transportation.
International travel may require immunizations or preventative medicines. Please refer to the US Center for Disease Control’s Traveler’s Health Information Page for recommendations. The UMW Health Center provides free travel consultations by appointment, as well as travel information for UMW students. The Center for International Education recommends that each student have a personalized medical consultation prior to international travel.
